On-line Introduction to Evaluation
What is "Evaluation"
really about? In general terms, the "Evaluation" belongs to
the broader area of "Social Policy". Going into detail, every
plan of action adopted by a state (i.e. job creation) is usually subjected
to an expert opinion. The aim of the "Evaluator" is to monitor
the decision-making in its practical implementation and try to understand
whether a determined policy can be improved. Since the 1990s different
Evaluation Societies have been created with the aim to achieve a common
theoretical background, improve communication and make the process of
evaluation more "objective". The WWW Virtual Library: Evaluation
was established to facilitate this process creating a world wide access
