ECHP is presently promoting and developing projects on setting equity-indicators and monitoring the differences in health and health care in numerous countries. Discussion papers written for WHO on equity/equality issues include: a) the concepts and principles of equity and health, Margaret Whitehead; b) Policies and strategies to promote equity in health, Göran Dahlgren and Margaret Whitehead; c)Measuring socioeconomic inequalities in health, Anton Kunst and Johan Mackenbach.
